Planning events can be fun, exciting and profitable!
According to recent research conducted by Dr. Joe Goldblatt, CSEP (Certified Special Events Professional), spending for special events worldwide is $500 billion annually and the faith based meetings and events industry plays a huge part in this.
Think about the events, retreats and annual conferences you see advertised on social media. Churches, religious organizations, non profits and corporate brands attracting faith based customers are hosting events daily and the majority are being planned by ministry leaders with great intentions. But, what happens, when the planning goes awry? When events are unorganized? When the details are left undone?
What you don’t know can cost you!
Planning events for your church or ministry can be costly if you don’t know the ins and outs of the industry. It’s important that your team plans in excellence but also that they understand industry terms, jargon and language. They also need to understand how to negotiate to make your event a win-win as well as what to do if your event takes a nose dive and you can’t afford the bill. It happens and I’m going to be teaching how to handle this as well as other legal situations.
If you are responsible for planning events at your church or you host events and work with a team, the Faith Based Event Planners Boot Camp is a must attend event!
AND…if you are an EVENT PLANNER who is an ENTREPRENEUR or wants to build their own business, then you’ll love the Boot Camp too!
As a professional meeting and event planner, I can assure you that some one had to plan these events and contrary to popular belief, churches and non profit organizations will pay planners to have their events coordinated in excellence.
In fact, I’ve been paid to plan events, negotiate contracts, research and negotiate celebrity speakers and artists, oversee VIP hospitality, as well as travel to amazing destinations to perform site selections and make venue recommendations! #whatalife
My experience began working as a volunteer in ministry which is why I love working with volunteer ministry teams as well. If you plan events for your church as a volunteer this event is for you!
